  13. INTRODUCTION
  14. Eight separate tools comprise HTML PowerTools for Windows. These
  15. are powerful HTML development tools for Windows, for use
  16. alongside your HTML or text editor. They include customizable
  17. offline HTML validation and link checking, HTML-aware search and
  18. replace, site-wide META tag management, automatic HTML file "last
  19. modified date" stamping, IMG tag automatic width, height, and ALT
  20. insertion, HTML to text batch conversion, and much more.

  22. While each tool is separate in purpose, many work together.
  23. They are intended to be used as a 'suite' of utilities to
  24. assist you - the HTML developer. Their primary purpose is
  25. to automate difficult or time-consuming tasks that you are
  26. now doing manually.

  32. INSTALLATION
  33. If you received this product on disk or CD-ROM, simply run
  34. SETUP.EXE. If you downloaded a self-installing EXE version,
  35. you have already installed the product.
  36.  
  37. If you downloaded a ZIP version, please do the following:
  38.  
  39. 1. Place all files included in the distribution ZIP file in a
  40.    temporary directory on your hard disk.
  41.  
  42. 2. Run SETUP.EXE from Windows.
  43.  
  44. 3. After installation, you may delete all the files from the
  45.    temporary directory.
  46.  
  47. 4. Run the HTML PowerTools Launch Pad from the HTML PowerTools
  48.    group (under the Start Menu's Programs group).

  51. UN-INSTALLATION
  52. To remove this application from your system, use Windows 95's
  53. Uninstall facility (Control Panel, Add/Remove Programs). If
  54. you manually delete the program directory before trying this,
  55. Windows will not be able to uninstall the other components.

  57. There is no automatic uninstall for Windows 3.x.
